IQ spacecom is pleased to announce that its Go.BIC service has officially reached Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL-9). Go.BIC is the first dynamic Global On-Demand Bi-directional Intersatellite Connection Service launched by RBC Signals in cooperation with IQ spacecom. Viasat’s global L-band GEO satellite network powers this solution.

The implementation of IQ FireWatch, our automated early wildfire detection system two decades ago has led to significant improvements in Saxony's response time to forest fires. This achievement is attributed to the effective collaboration between high-tech solutions and the expertise of the fire service personnel, resulting in a drastic reduction of damages caused by forest fires.

Together with Minister Silke Gorißen and Forstry Office Manager Julian Mauerhof, we had the pleasure of opening the wildfire control center in Wesel, where the smoke alarms from the eight IQ FireWatch sensor locations are verified in real time. NRW is already the 7th German federal state with our tried and tested automated  early wildfire detection system!
